Do I need to make an appointment?
No appointments are necessary. It is recommended, however, that you call ahead
if you are bringing in a wedding or formal gown.
How long do alterations typically take?
Typical alterations take about ten days to complete.
During our busiest times of the year, alterations may take as long as two
weeks or so. Some special jobs may require extra time. Rush jobs are also available
for an extra 30% fee.
Should I wash my garment before I bring it in?
Yes, it is our policy that garments must be clean prior to alterations. It is also to your
benefit to wash new clothes before alterations to ensure that they will not shrink.
How early should I reserve my tuxedo?
For less stress and better selection, it is recommended that you reserve you wedding tuxedos
three to six months ahead, and make sure that all of your groomsmen have been measured
one to two months ahead. Prom tuxedos should be reserved at least 2 months ahead to ensure
best selection, although we can order tuxedos in sooner if necessary. The earlier you reserve your
tux during the busy prom season, the better chances you have of getting the selection you want.
When should I bring in my wedding gown?
We suggest that you bring in your wedding dress at least a couple of months before your wedding.
This is especially important if multiple fittings are necessary. All other formal gowns should
brought in at least three to four weeks ahead. Remember, the sooner you can bring them in,
the better. This is especially important during April and May, our busiest time.
Do you custom make garments?
No, we only perform alterations here. We do not make anything new.
Do you do monogramming or custom embroidery?
No, we do not do any embroidery. This includes both by hand and machine.
